2000 Outlook: Eric will be running a
limited schedule in the 2000 season. The
schedule has not yet been determined.
Eric is the most recent member of the
famous Chemung, N.Y. family from New
York's Finger Lakes region to launch a
NASCAR driving career.
His
grandfather founded the Chemung
Speedrome and his father had eleven
consecutive wins and holds many records
at the track.
A cousin
to Geoffrey, Brett and Todd, Eric
started his racing career in nearby
Liberty, Pa., and he spent time at some
of the same race tracks upon which his
cousins launched their careers.
In 1988 he was crowned rookie of the
year at Tioga Speedway, a NASCAR Winston
Racing Series facility.
He has
driven asphalt and dirt Late Models and
has competed in IMSA Grand Sports racing
at Watkins Glen International.
His hobbies are basketball, golf and
water skiing.
